Wana Adme Cineus, 73, of Stewartsville, NJ, entered into her eternal rest with the Lord on Sunday, September 3, 2023 at John F. Kennedy University Medical Center in Edison, NJ. Wana was born and raised in Cavaillon, Haiti. Wana was a devout Catholic who loved going to church and praying, she proudly taught her children about the way to salvation. She loved baking, cooking, catering, and gardening. Wana was excellent at sewing and would sew her children’s school uniforms and clothing. She loved to dance and was strong willed. Wana enjoyed food and the occasional glass of wine. She loved her cats. Wana loved nothing more than time spent with her family and grandchildren. She was a loving and devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many.
Daughter of the late Victor Adme and Annacilia Dorcius; mother of the late Jean Marc Cineus; wife of the late Dieufort Cineus; sister of eight late siblings; Wana is survived by her five children, Vital Cineus, Maggy Lawrence and husband Edwine Polynice, Joel Cineus, Nedje Cineus, and Ricardo Cineus; two adopted children, Pierre and Hoboam Cineus; twelve grandchildren: Jordany, Joel, Jayce, Gabrielle Jolie, Justin, Medjeen Leandra, Berekia T., Raphaella I., Jaelle, Anaya, Marlon H. Cineus, and Ange Marianna Felicite Polynice; a great granddaughter, Blake Cineus; four siblings, Soeurette Adme, Antoinette Adme Sainvilus, Gilberte Adme, and Gladys Adme; as well as many other family members and friends both here and in Haiti.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St. James Church, 115 E. Delaware Ave., Pennington, NJ. Family and friends may pay their respects from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the church prior to the mass. Burial will follow the mass in the Ewing Church Cemetery, 100 Scotch Rd., Ewing, NJ.
