Vardina C. Recchia

Vardina C. Recchia, age 88, of The Villages, FL, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2022.  Born in Orange, NJ, Vardina had resided in Florida for the past 18 years.  She loved her life at the Villages and enjoyed playing cards with friends, golfing, bowling, Bocce, and crocheting.  She was very close with her sisters and a brother who also lived nearby.  Vardina was amazing at trivia and doing crossword puzzles.  She was a phenomenal cook which came in handy as the family matriarch who loved family gatherings and entertaining.  She babysat for many children, including her own grandchildren whom she adored.  Vardina was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Daughter of the late Patrick and Antoinette (Ruino) Liscio; wife of the late Fausto Recchia; mother of the late Frank Recchia; sister of the late Nick DeMarco, Maurice, Michael, and Patrick Liscio, and Mary Schetlick; Vardina is survived by her 5 loving children, Lori Vargo (Allan), Ron Recchia, Dan Recchia (Valarie), Lisa Capria (Ron), and Steven Recchia (Susan); 11 grandchildren; 10 greatgrandchildren; 5 siblings, Anita Fischer(Ray), Louise Gornan (Brian), Rosalie Grow (Kathi), Joann Liloia (Mike), Richard Liscio (Alex); 2 sisters-in-law, Anna Murray and Ann Recchia; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. 

Catholic memorial services will be held Saturday, Sept. 24, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Hamilton Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 2365 Whitehorse-Mercerville Rd., Hamilton, NJ 08619.
