Rose Puzio Obituary

Rose Mildred Puzio, 104, of Hamilton, NJ, entered into her eternal rest with the Lord on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at Penn Medicine at Princeton Medical Center in Plainsboro, NJ surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Trenton, NJ, Rose was a lifelong area resident.   Rose was the oldest of 5 who she helped raise and later support by working at several local factory's as a teenager/young woman before becoming a devoted wife, mother and homemaker at about 22.  Later, when her own 3 children were grown, she became  a seamstress at Pesco's in Trenton until retiring around 1984 by that time a widow. She was a fearless and strong woman who later in life enjoyed several trips to Europe, various US destinations, and many NJ shore weekends with her children. She was an avid New York Yankees fan, loved watching men’s tennis, and was one of the best amateur bowlers in the area. Born in 1918 she survived two Pandemics, a great depression, seen every War since WWI, and everything in between, anyone who could call her friend or family was guided by her long life wisdom or just to enjoy a great home cooked meal.  She was part of a large and highly spirited Italian American family, both immediate and extended, loved time spent with them at numerous celebrations and would often be the host of holiday meals for which she would spend days preparing and serving.  She was an extremely capable and tireless woman who impacted the lives of so many in countless ways in her 88 or so good years until old age slowed her down but thankfully was able to remain at home through it all.

Daughter of the late Paolo and Madeline (Rossi) Cianetti; beloved wife of the late Ralph Puzio, Sr.; mother of the late Eugene Puzio; sister of the late John “Chick”, Paul, and Elisa Cianetti; Rose is survived by her daughter Elisa Puzio Rusche and husband Richard Rusche; her son Ralph Puzio, Jr.; a daughter-in-law, Mary Puzio; grandchildren, Rosemarie Paulino, Christopher Derrico, Nicole Reid, Elisa Ginnie, and Nicholas Puzio; great-grandchildren, John Paulino, Joseph Paulino, Tori and Ryan Terheggen, Mia and Mariah Walton, Nico Walton; Great Great Grandsons, Dean and Angelo Paulino; sister Eve Cianetti Landolfi; and many nieces and nephews.
