Michael Kelliher Obituary

Michael J. Kelliher, 80, of Robbinsville, New Jersey entered into eternal life on March 27, 2023.

He was born on December 17, 1942, in Brooklyn, New York, and was the youngest of four children of Mary Ellen (Dineen) and Patrick Kelliher of County Kerry, Ireland.  He leaves behind his wife of 53 years, Eileen (Moolick) Kelliher; daughters Jennifer (Richard) Cottrell and Kristen (Timothy) Goddeyne and the loves of his life, his grandchildren, Donovan and Kathryn Cottrell and Kaleigh, Brendan and Maura Goddeyne of Allentown, NJ. He was predeceased by siblings, Denis Kelliher, Mary Murphy (Vincent) Margaret Herbert (James) and brother-in-law James Moolick. He’s survived by sisters/brothers-in-law, Maureen and Michael Kelly and John and Jean Moolick, loving nieces, nephews and many dear friends.

Mr. Kelliher worked as a Financial Accountant for TEXACO, INC., with 42 years of service in their NYC, Atlanta, Georgia, and Beacon, NY locations. Prior to his TEXACO employment, he worked at CALTEX OIL in NYC where, in 1964, he met Eileen. They married in The Bronx in 1969.

Michael was an avid sports fan of the NY METS, GIANTS and RANGERS but none surpassed his devotion to “THE FIGHTING IRISH” OF NOTRE DAME UNIVERSITY. His greatest pleasure came from being with family and attending all his grandchildren’s extracurricular activities.

In 2004, Michael and Eileen relocated to New Jersey to be closer to family. As a resident of The Enchantment Community, he loved playing Bocci, Cornhole and lunching with many of the residents who have since become lifelong friends.
