Marie L. Franco 2/10/31 - 10/24/23

MARIE L. FRANCO, 92, of Toms River, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on October 24, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Trenton, Marie lived in the area until 2001 at which time, she and her beloved husband Dennis, moved to Toms River.  

Marie worked for many years for the State of New Jersey, before retiring in 1991 from the Department of Economic Development.

She also loved going to Lancaster, PA with her late husband Dennis, and her monthly outings with her girls club.

Marie was the daughter of the late Anthony Sr. and Marion (DiPaola) Chiappetta, sister of the late Anthony Chiappetta, Jr., and Ralph Chiappetta.

Marie was the beloved wife of the late, Dennis Franco, and loving mother of the late, Robert D’Artagnan; she was the devoted mother of four surviving children, Donna Polselli (Lou), Mario D'Artagnan, Thomas D'Artagnan (Kathy), and Stephen D'Artagnan (Stacy). 

She is also survived by her sister Rae Zrinsky (Frank) and sister-in-law, Alice Chiappetta, and her aunt, Lena D'Errico.

Also surviving are her four grandchildren, Michele Bruno, Vincent Alexander, Adrienne Davids (Justin), and Sophia D'Artagnan; as well as many great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and a neighborhood of special friends.

Friends and family may pay their respects on Thursday, November 2, 2023 from 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Hamilton Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 2365 Whitehorse-Mercerville Rd., Hamilton, NJ 08619.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM that morning at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 3816 E. State St. Ext., Hamilton, NJ.  Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, 1200 Cedar Ln., Hamilton, NJ.
