Obituary
Luis Gonzalez-Mejia, 53, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Friday, March 3, 2023, at Capital Health Regional Medical Center. Born in Soyapango, El Salvador, Luis “Luisito/Toño” came to New Jersey in early 2000. Luis resided in New Jersey for the past 20 years. Luis was a lovely person, loved to dance, was always happy, and had a smile for everyone. His friends in NJ were his second family and he will be truly missed by all. He was a wonderful friend, brother and uncle. He always took care of his family which for him was his greatest treasure..He is survived by his sister, Candida Gonzales, his brother, Jose Alberto Gonzales, and his dear nephews, Isais and Jose Francisco who will always miss him and they have hope of seeing him again in heaven.
“He fell asleep in the peace of the Lord, blessing those he left on earth and smiling at the one who awaits him in heaven. He exhaled his last breath as calmly as if he had entered a sweet dream. Nothing equaled the sweetness of his spirit and the kindness of his heart.”
A visitation for Luis will be held at the Hamilton Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 2365 Whitehorse-Mercerville Rd., Hamilton, NJ 08619 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, March 8, 2023. Cremation will be private.
