Julia Lee Rossi passed from this life into eternity on Monday, November 14th, 2022 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton. Born in Hamilton, New Jersey, Julia was a lifelong area resident. She attended Our Lady of Sorrows Grammar School, and was a graduate of Notre Dame High School where she lettered in three sports; basketball, soccer, and Lacrosse, and was a National Honor Society Award recipient. Julia received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from West Chester University this year, where she received numerous academic and sports awards upon graduation. She was a defensive player on the Division 2 Women's Lacrosse Team for four years, leading her team to countless victories with the precision of her passing and blocking skills. Julia was beloved by her coaches, teammates, and even the fans who chanted her name "Rossi" during many of her games. She was a gifted musician, played many different instruments, designed tee shirts for her team and others, and was a talented freelance artist. Julia loved animals, especially her dog "Remi". She was funny, clever, loved the outdoors and snowboarding. Julia was fierce and adventurous throughout her life.
But her greatest love was for her family, whom she described as her 'Rock'. Spending time together for Sunday dinners, family vacations, and annual trips to Disney and Wildwood were where she found her greatest joy in life. Whether it was setting her alarm to video the sunrise with grandpop, bike rides with her parents, shopping trips with grandmom, and long walks and dancing with her sisters, these were among her favorite things to do on every vacation.
Julia possessed a huge and loving heart and a quiet, gentle spirit. She was kind, caring, respectful, compassionate, and was beloved by all who knew her.
She gave so much and asked for nothing, unaware of the impact she left on everyone.
Julia was a loving daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and the best friend everyone wished they had. She will be deeply missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing her.
Julia is predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Maurice and Anna (DeLusio)Rossi; Julia is survived by her parents Gregory P. and Kirsten M. (Cimini) Rossi; her two sisters, Lianna Rossi and fiance Shane Plunkett, and Olivia Rossi; her maternal grandparents, Frank B. and Mary Lou Cimini; an uncle, John Rossi; two aunts, Cynthia Rossi and fiance Art Landolfi, and Carolyn Staub; as well as many cousins, other family members and friends.
