Joan Irene Pinto, 88, of Hamilton, NJ, entered into her eternal rest with the Lord on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at Serenity Hospice at RWJ Hamilton surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Hoboken, NJ to Alexander and Margaret (Silvers) Collins. Joan worked her entire career as an insurance secretary at NJ Manufacturers in W. Trenton, NJ, where she retired after 44 years of dedicated employment. Joan loved shopping, trips to the casinos, and cruising. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many.
Daughter of the late Alexander and Margaret (Silvers) Collins; sister of the late Arthur Collins; sister-in-law of the late Marie Ann Clark, Mildren and Arthur Petrangeli, and Dorothy and Joseph Russo; she is survived by her loving husband John “Jack” Pinto; her four children, Patricia (John) Patsaros, Frank (Barbara) Pinto, John J. Jr. (Olga) Pinto, and Craig Pinto; six grandchildren, George, Nicole (Shaun) Connell, Alex, Violet, Danya, and Sasha; four great-grandchildren, Sophie, Elise, Tristan, and Niko; three siblings, George, James, and Arnold Collins; her best friend, Gail Baughman; and many nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.
Catholic funeral services will be held Thursday, June 8, 2023 at 10:00 AM with Deacon Michael Scannella officiating at the Hamilton Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 2365 Whitehorse-Mercerville Rd., Hamilton, NJ 08619. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, 400 Woolsey St., Hamilton, NJ. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Thursday morning from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
