Jean Ann (Novelli) Knowles

Jean Ann (Novelli) Knowles, 87 of Yardville, NJ, entered into her eternal rest on Sunday, July 9, 2023 at home surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Trenton, NJ, Jean was a lifelong area resident.  She retired after 20 years with the State of New Jersey Division of Workers Compensation as a supervisor.  Jean loved to play BINGO, and dance.  She enjoyed playing 500 Rummy with friends and family regularly.  Jean was an avid reader who also loved trips to Atlantic City.  She could always be found in attendance at her great grandchildren’s sporting events cheering them on.   

Daughter of the late Giovanni and Jennie (Capodici) Novelli; beloved wife of the late Lyman Knowles; sister of the late Peter Novelli, Jacqueline Leadem, Frances Morello, and Casper Novelli; best friend of the late Jean Corso.  Jean is survived by her two children, daughter, Kimberly and husband Vincent Gervasoni, and son, John Knowles and fiancée Rose Mary Zaldumbide; three grandchildren Gina and husband Brian Costello, Vincent Gervasoni and wife Barbara, and John Knowles and Liana Valentine; five great grandchildren Dominic and Joseph Costello, Angelina and Anthony Gervasoni, and Mya Knowles; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, July 13, 2023 at 11:00 AM at St. Anthony’s Church, 626 So. Olden Ave., Hamilton, NJ.  Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, 1200 Cedar Ln., Hamilton, NJ.  Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Thursday morning from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Hamilton Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 2365 Whitehorse-Mercerville Rd., Hamilton, NJ 08619.  Memorial contributions may be made in Jean’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or online at www.stjude.org  Please visit Jean’s tribute page at www.brennacellinifuneralhomes.com
