Daniel A. Caruso, 84, of Hopewell, NJ, entered his eternal rest with the Lord on Monday, November 6, 2023 at Capital Health Regional in Trenton, NJ surrounded by his loving family. Born in Trenton, NJ, Daniel was a lifelong area resident. He was employed for many years in the field of accounting, having last worked for the Church & Dwight Co. in Princeton, NJ.
Dan loved everyone and everyone loved Dan. He viewed everyone as friends he hadn’t met yet. He would strike up a conversation with everyone he encountered. He enjoyed working out and going to the gym several days a week. He loved the sun, and the beach was his favorite place to be. He and his wife enjoyed vacations visiting several beaches and islands, as well as regular trips to Atlantic City
He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to many.
Son of the late Dominic and Mary (Tanzone) Caruso; brother of the late Joan Byers; brother-in-law of the late John W. and Edward Rinkus.
Daniel is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Carole M. (Voorhees) Caruso; his three daughters, Lisa Marie Murphy, Amy Marie and husband Chris Lickman, and Beth Ann Caruso; a son-in-law, Chris Murphy; four granddaughters, Danielle and husband Kieran O’Connor, Erica Murphy, and Isabella and Claire Lickman; a brother, Dominick Caruso and wife Virginia; a sister-in-law, Cathy and husband Mark Schultz; a brother-in-law, David Rinkus and wife Janet; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Saturday, November 11, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Hamilton Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 2365 Whitehorse-Mercerville Rd., Hamilton, NJ 08619. Catholic prayer services will follow at noon. Entombment will be held privately with family only.
