Cynthia L. North age 60, died in Hamilton, NJ on February 26, 2024 after a short illness. “Cyndy” was born to Max and Mary Bird in Larned KS. She was later adopted by Marvin North. Cyndy was a graduate of Putnam City High School in Oklahoma. She earned a Bachelors Degree and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree at at Oklahoma State University (1982-1990). After several years of practice, Cyndy went back to school and earned a Masters in Business Administration from Purdue University, Daniels School of Business in 2003. The last 22 years of her career were dedicated to working in the veterinary pharmaceutical industry. She started this career at Pfizer and then joined Zoetis in 2007. At the Zoetis headquarters in NJ, she advanced to the Director of Veterinary Professional Services position. She was passionate about her work where she interacted with people from all over the world which fulfilled her. As a Zoetis employee, Cyndy was instrumental in ushering two veterinary pain medication drugs into the United States: Librela and Solensia.

She is survived by her mother Mary North, her sister Becky Hudson, her nephew Zachary Hudson, and her beloved yellow lab Ellie. She is also survived by her aunt Linda Auld, her cousins Jason Auld and Malia Pruitt and their children. Cyndy was preceded in death by a niece, Ashley and her father Max Bird.

Cyndy was a lifelong animal lover. Her classmates from the class of 1990 Oklahoma State University School of Veterinary Medicine remember her warm smile, intelligence, quick wit, great laugh and ‘can do” attitude fondly. She will be missed deeply.

A memorial service is being planned. Memorial donations may be made to local animal shelters in Cyndy’s honor.
