Blacey Russell Farina, 83, of Hamilton, NJ, entered into his eternal rest with the Lord on Sunday, October 8, 2023 at Millennium Memory Care in Monroe, NJ. Born in Trenton, NJ, Blacey was a lifelong area resident. He served his country with honor during the Vietnam War era and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army. Blacey was a lifetime member of the Hamilton Elks B.P.O.E. Lodge #2262, and was also a member of the Teamsters Local 701. He drove a tractor trailer for 50 years, most recently for the State of New Jersey Department of Corrections Distribution where he retired from.
Blacey enjoyed bowling, watching his two favorite teams, the NY Yankees and the NY Giants. He was a warm and loving husband, father, and friend to all. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Son of the late Russell and Josephine (DiGuiseppe) Farina; brother-in-law of the late Margaret “Peg” Micai; Blacey is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Rita (Micai) Farina; his three children, Denise (William) Salvatore, David Farina, and Vincent (Debra) Farina; a brother-in-law, Robert Micai; a beloved granddaughter, Kristina (Anthony) Preucil; a good friend, George Brock who he met daily at the Dunkin Donuts; as well as nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.
The family is especially grateful for the care he received at Millennium Memory Care.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 3816 E. State St. Ext., Hamilton, NJ. Entombment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, 1200 Cedar Ln., Hamilton, NJ. Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday, Oct. 13, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Saturday morning from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Hamilton Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 2365 Whitehorse-Mercerville Rd., Hamilton, NJ 08619.
