Arthur Ackerman, Jr. Obituary

Arthur J. ‘Hackamo’ Ackerman, 66, of Hamilton passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2023 in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of the late Arthur P. Ackerman and Jennie Mary Kosko Ackerman. Uncle of the late Michael J. Dworak. Survived by his wonderful wife Denise E. Wagner Ackerman; the brother of Brenda Ackerman Taylor and Keith Taylor; a tremendous father and role model to his three daughters, Dana L. (Ricky Schneider), Kaitlyn R. (Michael DiBella) and Samantha E. Ackerman (Scott Yardley); as well as his pride and joy of a granddaughter, Brea Rose Ackerman. He is also survived by his uncle Robert “Bobby” and aunt Joann Ackerman of Apple Valley, CA; and aunt Patricia Coe of Ocala, FL, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and many many wonderful friends. Born in Trenton, Arthur was a life-long Trenton and Hamilton Township resident. He worked a majority of his life as a warehouse manager but after being put onto permanent disability he eventually retired. He was a long time board member of his favorite non-profit organization, City of Angels. He also dedicated a lot of his free time to rock on radio.  Arthur enjoyed taking trips to Disney World to visit his favorite Florida people (you know who you are), Atlantic City Casinos, and of course wonderful Las Vegas. One of his greatest joys was spending quality time with his family and frequent park trips with his grandbaby, fishing any chance he could get, as well as taking on the fight of the opioid epidemic. He was known to be the loudest one in the room with a smile that shined brighter than any light.  He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him. Celebration of Arties Life will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at the Hamilton Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 2365 Whitehorse-Mercerville Road, Hamilton, NJ 08619.
