Annabelle (Ayala) Rivera

Annabelle Rivera, 78, of Trenton, NJ, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 surrounded by her loving family at her son’s home.  Born in Yauco, Puerto Rico to parents Pablo Ayala and Isabelle Ayala Baez, Annabelle was employed by Circle F as an assembler and then worked for Bed Bath & Beyond in Lawrenceville, NJ for over 20 years as a sales associate.  “Chavela” as her husband affectionately named her loved to cook and will be remembered for her food and for her love of her family.  She always fed the neighborhood.  Annabelle had a green thumb and enjoyed tending to her flowers in her garden.  She loved nothing more than her beloved grandchildren who were her life.  Annabelle was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many.

Daughter of the late Pablo Ayala and Isabelle Ayala Baez; wife of the late Victor Antonio Rivera, Sr.; she is survived by her two sons, Victor A. Rivera, Jr. and wife Jeanette, and Felix Rivera and wife Megan; three grandchildren, Christian, Victor A. III, and Nicholas Rivera; three siblings, Carmen Lopez, Pablo Ayala, Jr., and Margarita Ayala; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members and friends.

Catholic prayer services will be held Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 10:00 AM at the Hamilton Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 2365 Whitehorse-Mercerville Rd., Hamilton, NJ 08619.
