Madelyn Pulcini Obituary

Madelyn J. Pulcini, 95, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2024, at Carnegie Assisted Living in Princeton, NJ. She was the devoted wife of 72 years of John J. Pulcini until his death in 2022. She and John were active members of Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Mercerville.

Born in Trenton, she was the daughter of Warren Pinto and Maria (Grosso) Pinto. Madelyn grew up in Chambersburg and graduated from Trenton Central High School in 1946. A woman of many talents, she was the composer of the Trenton High “Red Team fight song,” which was sung for decades to cheer the team on Sports Night.

Madelyn worked for many years as branch manager at NJ National Bank in Ewing, (now Wells Fargo) until her retirement. She was a proud member of the 7 Plus 2 Ladies Club, and served as president of the Happy Days Senior Club for which she enjoyed organizing luncheons and bus trips to Atlantic City casinos.

She loved cooking, decorating, crosswords, playing cards, and the Jersey shore. Madelyn was a generous and giving person, always making time, and caring for friends and family alike. She was adored by her husband and family.

She is survived by her three daughters, Patricia Marth of Coplay PA, Joan Veltri (Alfred) of Lawrenceville NJ, and Kathy Schneider (Steve) of Barnegat Light NJ, five grandchildren Paul Marth, John Veltri (Ellen), Ellen Martinez (Nando), Dina Ferraro (Nick), and Mary Pepe (Joe), her ten great-grandchildren, brother Gerard “Brother” Pinto and sister-in-law Claramae, many cherished nieces and nephews, and her dear friends Elsie Carucci, and Bob and Phyllis Fell. She was predeceased by her parents and her devoted sister, Theresa DiColo.

The family would like to thank Serenity Hospice, especially nurse Rosario Talledo, for the excellent care and compassion shown to Madelyn.
